Best 14 Nursing Homes Ireland in Waterford County Last Updated December 2022

The nuns in the little sisters of the poor have been to the forefront in providing care to the elderly across Waterford for generations now. I know this first hand, from when, as a child, I visited elderly relatives in their former premises just off Bunkers Hill. In recent years their Christmas Spinner and Summer Garden Party are amongst the highlights of the calendar in the area each year. Planting can begin now and hopefully as their creations bloom, it becomes a source of pride for them as we enter into Spring. This is a long term project and I look forward to a whole host of Ferrybank Flowers in the future.

Junior Minister for Older People, Mary Butler has been telling WLR News that they're not the only nursing homes to have announced they're closing recently. They also say the National Treatment Purchase Fund has been unwilling to negotiate a fair increase in the face of soaring costs and there's been no real or timely support from the government.
